William and Hilda bought the Krueger farm across the road from the Haugh homestead and farmed there until they retired to Dashwood. He was on the Hay Twp. council from 1934 - 1945. He was reeve from 1945 - 1946. He also served on the school board of S.S.# 12 Hay Twp. William & Hilda attended Zion Lutheran Church in Dashwood. He also attended school at S.S.# 12 in Hay Twp.
